Endowed funds provide a self-renewing base of support that will benefit the college forever. Endowed funds are invested and only a portion of the endowment is disbursed annually for the purposes defined by the donor. This allows the original gift and any additional gifts to grow over time and to ensure the endowment is preserved in perpetuity for future generations.
SUNY Plattsburgh has endowments that support scholarships, mentoring, library collections, faculty excellence and more. Gifts to the college’s endowment can also be unrestricted, providing the additional benefit of flexibility over time as the needs of students change.
The Plattsburgh College Foundation manages more than $13.8 million in endowed funds. The college is actively trying to grow this base of support.
If you would like to establish an endowment or to support an existing endowment, the Office of Institutional Advancement is available to assist you in determining the specifics of your gift.
