North Country Impact Award recipients embody the value of the SUNY Plattsburgh educational experience, preparation and degree. Recipients are vivid, living examples of the university’s success at achieving its mission to support the social, cultural and economic health of the region.

NORTH COUNTRY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The North Country Scholarship program began in 2008 with the intent of keeping our region’s best and brightest students close to home.

Funded by area businesses and individuals, as well as the Plattsburgh College Foundation, the North Country Scholarship program aims to retain local youth by awarding merit scholarships to qualified students from Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties. This commitment to supporting high-achieving local students is an investment in the long-term prosperity of the North Country, as it ensures our communities will continue to be home to well-trained professionals, innovators and problem solvers.
